Dr. Marcus Penthin

Dr. Marcus Penthin studied to become an elementary school teacher at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (1st State Examination). He then served as a research assistant at the Chair of Empirical Educational Research at FAU. In 2021, he earned his doctorate with a dissertation on the determinants of musical leisure activities among elementary school-aged children. From 2021 to 2025, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Religious Education at FAU, and from 2024 to 2025, he also worked at the Chair of Didactics of German Language and Literature. Since October 2025, he has been a lecturer at the Chair of School Pedagogy at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg.
