How are learning and our understanding of learning changing when ChatGPT answers a question faster than any search in a reference work? What does it mean for the role of teachers when learners use artificial intelligence (AI) to structure, question or further develop their thoughts at an early, still uncertain stage of thinking and understanding? How are the demands on instructional design changing as digital assistants become conversation partners for both learners and teachers?
